Privacy & trust
What LeadCall collects, what it never touches, and how business boundaries are enforced.
What LeadCall never collects
- Call audio or recordings — the app does not request microphone access
- SMS messages (sent or received)
- Device location at any time
- The device's address book or contacts list
- Photos, files, or any other app data
- Personal outbound calls unrelated to Lead recovery
What is synced
The following fields are captured from each valid business call and transmitted to LeadCall servers. Campaign calls can sync onward to Zoho CRM; sales-rep callback attempts are used for recovery and qualification workflows.
- Phone number of the caller
- Call type: inbound, missed, or qualified callback attempt depending on device role
- Call timestamp in UTC
- Call duration in seconds (0 for missed calls)
- The locally-saved contact name for the number, if the rep has it saved on the device
This is the minimum set of data needed to create a useful CRM record and recovery trail. Nothing else is collected.
Phone numbers are encrypted at rest
Every phone number stored in LeadCall is encrypted while it sits in our database. Even someone with direct database access — including LeadCall staff — cannot read caller numbers from storage alone.
For you as a manager, nothing changes in day-to-day use. You still see full phone numbers in the dashboard, call logs, and CSV exports. Numbers are decrypted only when your authorized account needs to display or send them (for example, when syncing a new Lead to Zoho).
Your workflow stays the same
Encryption protects stored data behind the scenes. You do not need to configure anything, and your team does not need to take any action.
Business-device boundary
LeadCall is designed for work phones. The manager dashboard shows device nicknames, the last sync timestamp, and the Business Sync toggle status for each device. Managers cannot see the content of private calls, access call audio, or view any data beyond what is listed above under "What is synced".
Private number handling
Private-number controls are part of the product roadmap. The intended behavior is that reps can mark a phone number as private in the LeadCall app, and calls from that number are skipped on the device before they are transmitted. Until that flow is enabled in your workspace, teams should use dedicated work devices or business SIMs for the cleanest boundary.
When released, private number entries will be reviewed and removed by the rep under app → Settings → Private numbers.
Cookies and analytics
The LeadCall website uses cookies to operate and improve the experience. Necessary cookies are always active. Analytics cookies (used with Google Analytics and PostHog) are optional and placed only after you grant consent. You can manage or withdraw your preference at any time via the cookie banner. For the full list of cookies, their purposes, and how to manage them, see the Cookie Policy.
Data retention
Call sync records are retained while your LeadCall workspace is active. Deleting your workspace removes all associated sync data from LeadCall servers. Records already written to Zoho CRM exist independently of LeadCall — disconnecting the integration or deleting the workspace does not remove any records from Zoho. If you need records removed from Zoho, that must be done directly in Zoho CRM.
